Oualichi Festival: Four days dedicated to music

From July 28 to 31, 2022, Saint-Martin will vibrate to the sound of the different styles of music offered by the “Oualichi Festival”. Kompa, reggae, zouk, dancehall, soca, so many musical genres that will be offered for this 6th edition which will see a dozen DJs and a host of artists perform.

After a few years of interruption mainly due to cyclone Irma and the health crisis, the “Oualichi Festival” returns to the delight, not only of the organizers, but also of the local population and tourists.
If this music festival usually takes place in Happy Bay, the organizers have decided to move it to Galisbay. A change that should help revitalize Marigot, says Skelet, the manager of Kalaboom Event, which organizes the event.
But it is in the privacy of a villa located in Terres Basses, reserved for a few guests, and the 50 people who will have to pay 30 euros, that the festivities will be launched.
On Friday, Oswald will be in concert in Galisbay, where he will celebrate his ten-year career, surrounded by many artists, such as Fanny J, Mickaël Guirand, Daville or DEEJ Blackboy.
Saturday evening, from 8:00 p.m., the unmissable “Lighted Parade” will take place in the streets of Philipsburg, where participants will be able to wear their luminous t-shirts.
Sunday evening, on the Galisbay site, the grand closing concert of the “Oualichi Festival” will take place with, as a novelty, the contribution of many Latino DJs.
Valérie Damaseau, President of the Tourist Office, is delighted to be a partner of this festival, which offers an additional opportunity to promote the destination, but also to boost the local economy.
Places are to be reserved on the site www.oualichi-festival.com, at the price of 30 euros for the evening of Thursday, 35 euros in presale and 50 euros on site for the concert on Friday, on Saturday the participation is 40 euros , and on Sunday the concert is 45 euros in presale and 50 euros on site. In addition, the pack for the duration of the festival is 100 euros.
