After WTV on November 21st and STV on November 24th, “Jürgen on Tour” continued this Monday on NÖTV. ÖTV sports director and Davis Cup captain Jürgen Melzer got an overview of the Lower Austrian A squad players at the Traiskirchen regional association performance center. The ex-ATP top ten player in singles and doubles first trained with Mavie Maierhofer, Viktoria Miletic, Sophia Jonak, Alina Hessel, the brothers Robert and Sebastian Schöls, Paul Salzmann and Lennard Wala and then with Avril Illetschko in the second session , Leonie Schauer, Mia Neumüller, Jasmin Schaaf, Bastian Berenz, Luca Lingfeld and the brothers Marcel and Julian Jelinek.
As with the previous stations, the kids clearly had fun training with the former world number eight and got lots of valuable tips. And Melzer himself was also extremely pleased. “It was really casual – because it happened the way I actually imagine it: with a lot of trainers on site and a good, big exchange that took place with each other. I was able to explain my point of view in a little more detail, and in the dialogue I also received feedback on why some people do things in a certain way. That’s exactly the reason why I’m actually doing Jürgen on Tour,” says the 42-year-old from Lower Austria. Among others were the former world number 40. and NÖTV association trainer Barbara Schwartz as well as Martin Bartosch, the head of the Kids regional association performance center in Traiskirchen, were present in person. “Of course there was one or two talents there,” reported Melzer.
Jürgen on Tour is only taking a short break. It continues on December 12th in Carinthia at KTV.
