This is confirmed by a certificate issued to ÖTV for the period January 2024 to January 2025.
“Great Place to Work” is a world-leading and recognized expert institute for corporate culture that aims to “create more resilient, successful and sustainable companies”. The Austrian Tennis Association can also confidently describe itself as very progressive in this respect. This has now been confirmed according to objective standards: ÖTV is now officially a “Great Place to Work”. The certificate was recently granted to the country’s second largest sports association and is valid for the period January 2024 to January 2025. According to the official “Great Place to Work” website, 298 companies in Austria have currently qualified for the certificate.
“Great Place to Work” conducts an anonymous survey of all employees in a company to determine their satisfaction using a Trust Index© model consisting of five dimensions: Credibility, respect, fairness, pride and team spirit are the main pillars of the evaluation. An average value of 80 percent satisfaction would have been required for certification as a “Great Place to Work”, the ÖTV achieved an impressive 91 percent. The Austrian Tennis Association did particularly well in the categories of friendliness (98%), justice, leadership behavior and communication (96% each), corporate image (95%), team spirit, pride, innovation and integrity (94% each), commitment, familiarity and credibility and collaboration (93% each).
Ohneberg: “Very nice award and confirmation of corporate culture”
Accordingly, the Austrian Tennis Association is pleased with these values. ÖTV President Martin Ohneberg sees this as “a very nice award and confirmation of the corporate culture that we have created in the association, together with the executive board and the business and sports directors. It shows that the Austrian Tennis Association has developed into an attractive employer for employees in recent years through continuous work and development.” ÖTV Managing Director for Economic Affairs Thomas Schweda “is very pleased with this confirmation from our employees. This is a clear signal that we as an employer have taken a very positive and valued path.” And ÖTV sports director and Davis Cup captain Jürgen Melzer also stated: “I am of course very pleased that we are now are also officially a ‘Great Place to Work’.” Postscript: “But what is even more important is that we remain one…” We want to continue working on this with undiminished energy in the future.
By the way: The Austrian Tennis Association currently has one position available as a “Great Place to Work”. We are looking for an assistant in finance (part-time, 20 hours/week).
