Ottogi opened the Food Safety Science Research Institute with the goal of contributing to the development of food safety at home and abroad and the improvement of human dietary life through the expansion of research areas beyond food safety verification in all stages from raw materials to production and distribution with professional analysis technology and the latest analysis equipment. Founded.

Through this, the Ottogi Food Safety Science Research Center is conducting research in various fields such as food safety, such as research on reducing harmful substances and research on improving food analysis methods, as well as development of environmental pollutant analysis and treatment systems, support for upcycling of farms, and food safety production projects with small and medium-sized enterprises. We plan to conduct food safety verification and research.

The Food Safety Science Research Center started as an analysis part under the Ottogi Food Research Center in 1983 and was promoted to the Food Safety Center in 2005, and is currently responsible for the safety of Ottogi products as part of the Quality Assurance Headquarters.

Ottogi Food Safety Science Research Institute is an internationally accredited KOLAS testing institute and a rice/brown rice variety testing institute, and was officially recognized as a company-affiliated research institute by the Ministry of Science and ICT in February. It plans to expand collaboration with industry, academia, and research institutes by holding exchange meetings and symposiums to seek the latest food safety research trends and development directions.

An official from Ottogi said, “We newly opened the Food Safety Science Research Center to take a bigger leap from the existing Food Safety Center, which has played a pivotal role in thorough food safety management.” We will strive to contribute to the improvement of human dietary life as well as development.”
