Vienna (OTS) – “Criticism of the housing cost aid presented today is completely aloof. The opposition parties simply do not want to acknowledge that a model has been presented today that is both socially just and accurate. It’s a question of justice. Because this means that people in every form of housing – and not just in the reference rent – can be individually and adequately helped by the federal states. As the People’s Party, we have always been skeptical regarding suspending the inflation-related increase, as this is in no way socially accurate,” said Andreas Ottenschläger, Member of the National Council for the People’s Party.
“We not only wanted to turn the screws on the guide price rents, but also that investments can be made in existing apartments and tenants are relieved of the enormously high energy costs. This solution takes all living conditions throughout Austria into account,” concludes Ottenschläger.
