Reportedly, other members of the Korean band BTS will also enter the military service this year. The band’s members, Jin and J-Hope, are currently serving in the military. National media reported that the remaining Jimin, RM, Suga, V, and Jungkook will join the army soon.
South Korean law requires two years of military service for all healthy males between the ages of 18 and 28. This is why the BTS band broke up. The members entered the military service following the 2-year special exemption given to the gang members.
Jin, a senior member of BTS, began his 18-month military service at a South Korean boot camp last December. By February, J-Hope also joined the army. The plan is to revive the BTS band before 2025 with all the members completing their mandatory military service.
