Oswaldo Samayoa puts his position at Copadeh at Arévalo’s disposal due to accusations in a contract

The director of the Presidential Commission for Peace and Human Rights (Copadeh), Oswaldo Samayoapublished a statement on September 3 in which he put his position at the disposal of the president Bernardo Arevalo.

Samayoa was accused last weekend on social media of having hired a woman to become his partner.

Last Monday, President Arévalo indicated that he requested a report from the Presidential Commission against Corruption to have details of the case and make a decision.

This Tuesday, Samayoa indicated that he has been notified of the investigation carried out by the Commission against Corruption and explained how the investigation occurred recruitment for which it is indicated.

According to Samayoa, after the death of a person in the institution, the woman was hired, with whom he is linked sentimentallyon June 20 of this year.

“After I started working, approximately in mid-August, a relationship began in which I recognize my error in judgment in not handling the situation appropriately“Samayoa argued.

The official indicated that he has made his position available to President Arévalo so that he can take charge relevant decision.
