The actor Osvaldo “Cacho” Santoro, 74 years old, reported this Saturday with great pain the death of his wife, María Inés.
“With a torn soul, he communicated the departure of Maria Inés, my wife of 50 years. I am sure that she will be in the best place in the promised heaven following so much suffering and as a consequence of a life thinking of others. May the earth be light to you my dear love, ”she wrote, along with a photo of her partner.
In October 2021, Santoro received a harsh diagnosis of a tumor on the right vocal cord for which he underwent two operations and extensive medical treatment.
“My world fell apart, it was as if the carpenter’s hammer or saw were stolen. The work tool”, explained the actor.
“We took it out on time, if it advanced, the rope had to be removed and a complex process was coming,” he commented at the time Santoro. And he expanded: “After the first operation the tumor was seen once more, and in the second it was removed. The rope was a bit thin and I went to recovery: 35 radiotherapy sessions at Fleming and a phone rehabilitation once a week”.
It should be remembered that in addition to being an actor with a long career, Santoro is a writer and since April 201 he has been working as Vice President of RTA (Argentine Radio and Television); Years ago, he went through politics as a councilor for the Tres de Febrero party and was secretary of SAGAI (Argentine Society for the Management of Performing Actors).
