As previously announced, the anime adaptation of the manga written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari, Oshi no Ko (My Star), held a special event to reveal the latest information on the project. During said event it was announced that the series will premiere during the month of April 2023 on television stations in Japan and a new promotional video for the project was shared.
On the other hand, a new promotional image of the series was shared.
New character designs as well as new members for the voice cast were also revealed.
Rie Takahashi (Megumin en Konosuba!) as Ai Hoshino.
Takeo Otsuka (Collot in BEASTARS) as Aqua Hoshino and rookie voice actress Yurie Igoma as Ruby Hoshino.
Kento Itou (by Nifuji Hirotaka) Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii) like Gorou and Tomoyo Takayanagi (Mikan Hinatsuki en Machikado Mazoku) as Sarah.
It should be remembered that this adaptation will debut with a first episode in a 90-minute block (1 hour and 30 minutes), although it should be noted that the duration of the block includes television commercials. In addition, the distribution in the West will be in the hands of the platform HIDIVE.
Akasaka and Yokoyari began publishing the manga in the magazine. Weekly Young Jump from the publisher Shueisha in April 2020. Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) writes it while Mengo Yokoyari (Kuzu no Honkai) illustrates it, and the work already exceeds 2 million accumulated copies in circulation.

Sinopsis de Oshi no Ko
16-year-old Ai Hoshino is a talented and beautiful idol who is adored by her fans.
