After a year’s break he is back: Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov landed in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, on Thursday morning. The country is currently chairing the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and is now hosting the two-day annual meeting at the end of its presidency. Lavrov had to forego the big OSCE stage in 2022: Poland, the country chairing the country at the time, had refused entry to Moscow’s chief diplomat in view of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine.
