“This is the largest investment in the factory located in the Mažeikiai district since the day it was purchased by the Orlen group. After the end of the project, we will have a modern factory in Lithuania, ready for various macroeconomic scenarios”, said M. Golebiewskis.

During the modernization of the factory, a deep oil refining facility is installed. The project, whose general contractor is Petrofac International of Great Britain, is scheduled to be completed in September 2025.

“Orlen Lietuva” earned 294.3 million last year. EUR net profit (in 2022 it experienced a loss of EUR 183.25 million), its income decreased by 14.9 percent. to 6.43 billion euros (7.55 billion euros).

Despite the reduced income, the company sold 8.8 million units last year. tons of oil products – 3.5 percent. more than in 2022 (8.5 million tons), and processed 9.3 million tons of raw materials – 4.3 percent. more (8.9 million tons).

The company manages an oil refinery in Mažeikiai, a terminal in Būtingė and an oil pumping station in Biržai.
