Orlando, FL, USA [ENA] The Orlando Solar Bears won their ECHL game in the South Division once morest the South Carolina Stingrays at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, 4-2. The Solar Bears determined the game from the start, hardly allowed any chances and deservedly clinched the win.
Orlando sits in mid-table with their Solar Bears thanks to the amount of games played. Against Die Stingrays from South Carolina, who, along with the Alaska Aces and the Hampton Roads Admirals, are among the record champions of the ECHL with 3 trophies, the yield looked mostly meager. In this game, Orlando immediately took the initiative and hardly allowed any chances. In addition, they were rewarded with the 1:0 in the 13:34. Min through Branden Makara.
In the second third, the Solar Bears followed suit and following 9:35 Luke Boka made it 2:0. The Stingrays now tried to take over the game, which they temporarily succeeded and was rewarded with Andrew Cherniwchan’s goal to make it 2-1 (16:10), but Orlando upped the ante once more and scored the 2-goal through Tyler Bird. Distance restored shortly before the end of the third (19:04).
In the final third, Bennet Macarthur made it 4-1 for the Solar Bears in the 8:00 minute. South Carolina put in a lot of effort once more, but more than one further goal by Bear Hughes (10:12) was not possible that day and so the points deservedly go to the Solar Bears from Orlando. The Solar Bears then have 2 seed games to play once morest the Utah Grizzlies.
The ECHL, formerly the East Coast Hockey League, is home to 28 teams in 4 divisions, 2 in Canada and the rest in the USA. These play out the Kelly Cup. The Orlando Solar Bears are partnered with the NHL team Tampa Bay Lightning and have financial support through this training partnership.
