Center-right ahead in Liguria, with any candidate. The investigation that forced governor Giovanni Toti to resign after months of house arrest, considered at the very least a forced move by many members of the government majority, does not change the opinion of the Ligurian electorate. According to the latest Euromedia Research poll, the center-right is in fact favored in the upcoming regional elections, which regardless of who it will field, is ahead of the probable candidate from the center-left, former minister Andrea Orlando.
In detail, as reported by Termometro politico, Ilaria Cavo – deputy of Noi Moderati – would win with 52.3% against 47.7% of the exponent of the Pd. She would lose against Pietro Piciocchi, councilor of the municipality of Genoa, 49.6% to 50.4%, against Edoardo Rixi, of the League, 48.7% to 51.3%, against Giampedrone, of the Toti list, 49.1% to 50.9%, and against Marco Scajola, also a regional councilor 47.9% to 52.1%.
Overall, 40% of Ligurian voters think the center-right will win, compared to 31% who believe the victory of the broad field formed by the center-left and the 5 Star Movement is likely, a coalition that appears likely. The survey by the institute directed by Alessandra Ghisleri and commissioned by the Titi committee was conducted with a thousand interviews conducted between August 5 and 8.
