Biography
Born in Canterbury, Orlando Bloom joined the National Youth Theater in London at the age of sixteen before continuing his studies at the prestigious British American Drama Academy. In 1997, the actor starred in his first film, Wilde, alongside Stephen Fry, Jude Law and Vanessa Redgrave. Despite numerous other proposals, Bloom decided to perfect his acting training at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. During these three years of study, he devoted himself solely to the theatre, notably playing in the classics La Mouette, Antigone and Mephisto. After some experience on television, the actor was contacted by Peter Jackson to participate in the Lord’s trilogy rings, adaptation of the work of JRR Tolkien.
