Construction of the Orion Complex receives the Best and Largest Works Award

GVC Engenharia, the construction company behind one of the most notable buildings in the country, the Orion Business & Health Complex in Goiânia, received the Best and Largest Construction Projects Award last Tuesday, August 27, in the city of São Paulo. The award is granted by the Engineering Institute, an organization founded in 1916, and is part of the National Engineering Week program, which runs from August 26 to 30. The award was presented to Engineer Frank Guimarães Vaz de Campos, owner of GVC Engenharia, which was responsible for the construction of the project, together with FR Incorporadora.

Created by the Engineering Institute, in partnership with ConVisão CNC, the award is the largest in national engineering and seeks to recognize and highlight large-scale works in Brazil that are a reference in innovation and technology. The winners were selected by a committee made up of notable professionals and scholars in the field of engineering.

The award was granted to the Orion Complex by the centennial Engineering Institute for large-scale works in Brazilian territory, which are a reference in innovation and technology.

With 50 floors and over 191 meters in height, the Órion Business & Health Complex is a mixed-use development that includes several services, such as a highly complex hospital from the Albert Einstein network, with 240 beds, a tower with 673 rooms for offices and clinics, the Órion Shopping Mall, a gastronomic center, a high-end hotel from the Transamérica brand, and a helipad. The complex receives an average of over 15 thousand people daily.

Health centrality

Anchored in the first premium standard hospital in Goiás, with 240 beds, of which 40 are ICU beds, the complex was developed with the aim of meeting the high demand for services and health in the capital of Goiás, which has a high attraction of patients coming from the interior and other Brazilian states, including the Center-West, passing through the south of Bahia, Maranhão and reaching the State of Acre.

It ended up creating a new center for health treatments in Goiânia, in addition to becoming an architectural landmark and reference in gastronomy and high-standard services, and was recognized by other national awards such as the Master Imobiliário, awarded by Secovi of São Paulo, and the Lúcio Costa Award awarded by the Chamber of Deputies.

Route

“Órion is a project that began in 2011, when I conceived it and decided to actually build it. It became a reality thanks to the perseverance of our entire team and the valuable partnerships we established with our partners in this great project: FR Incorporadora, Tropical Urbanismo and Joule Engenharia”, highlights the director of GVC Engenharia, Frank Guimarães.

Other ventures

The positive impact of the Orion Complex in Goiás and Brazil ended up inspiring the GVC Engineering to develop other large projects, with similar purposes and the same high quality, such as the Polaris Health and Business Complex, in Catalão (GO). Scheduled to be delivered this year, the project has a 22-story tower, with 290 commercial and clinical rooms, a shopping mall, a convention center, restaurants, a rooftop and a helipad already approved by the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), in addition to a walkway that connects the complex to one of the main hospitals in the southeast region of the state.

And also the Áquila Home & Office & Mall Complex

Also under construction at a fast pace, the company will soon deliver the Áquila Home & Office & Mall Complex, with 75,000 m² of area, which is being built in the most exclusive location in the city of Itumbiara (GO). The mixed-use project will consist of a 35-story tower, which combines commercial spaces and compact luxury apartments; a high-end residential tower with 40 floors, four of which are entirely dedicated to leisure; in addition to an events center and a shopping mall with 37 stores and 250 parking spaces, there are 750 spaces in total, including those for offices and apartments.

The complex reaches 152 meters in final height and 50 floors, when adding shopping mall, garages and standard floors.

New launches by construction company GVC – responsible for the Orion Complex

GVC’s next launch will be in the agricultural capital of the State of Goiás, the city of Rio Verde, where the company will develop the Atlas Complex, together with major local partners, a project that will have 175,000 m² of built area, consisting of several towers and a shopping mall, clinical center, as well as a gourmet center, among others.
