Orinoco Motor District consolidates with the signing of 11 agreements

From Los Pijigüaos, in the municipality of Cedeño, the Summit of Governors of the Orinoco Motor District was held, with the presence of the leaders of Amazonas, Miguel Rodríguez; Apure: Eduardo Piñate, and from Bolívar: Ángel Marcano.

Members of the regional management cabinet, Ernesto Rivero, president of CVG Bauxilum, and teams from the three regions participated in this activity held this weekend.

In his words of welcome, as the host state, Marcano assured that they have to work for the security and defense of the country.

“Our interests are collective, there are no personal ambitions here, that is what the Orinoco Motor District is all regarding, to show that we are true revolutionaries,” he declared in a press release.

The governor of Bolívar state said that the task is for the people to live with dignity, in strong regions, with an important development pole, with industrialized coltan production chains. “We seek to recover our wealth and sovereignty,” he added.

He affirmed that the premise is to push these development poles for the growth of Venezuelan families and especially of these three states.

“We continue to comply with each orientation of President Nicolás Maduro, articulating efforts to strengthen economic growth, through the Orinoco Motor District,” he said.

The three presidents took advantage of their stay in Los Pijiguaos to visit the headquarters where what they called Farmabastos will work, in CVG Bauxilum, as well as its hospital, for the care of the people of Amazonas, Apure and the Pijiguaos.

“We also went to the Los Morichalitos sector, we visited its productive fair, where there was a sale of school uniforms, food, technical aids and much more at the service of our people,” Marcano said.

11 agreements signed

In the voice of Ernesto Rivero, president of CVG Bauxilum, the 11 agreements and commitments signed by the governors were heard.

Number one; legal and administrative restructuring of the Amazonas Corporation (Corpoamazonas), to convert it into the Orinoco Corporation (Corpoorinoco), with the direct participation of the governors of Amazonas, Apure and Bolívar.

Second agreement; request to the competent entities, the creation of an office and volumes in the service station (E/S) Los Pijigüaos, and in turn, request the concession to be managed by the Orinoco Motor District.

Third; Rehabilitate and put into operation the Orinoco I/O in the Arévalo Cedeño port, known as “El Burro”. Fourth engagement; create the Farmabastos Orinoco in Los Pijigüaos and Puerto Páez to guarantee essential supplies, products and food, for the benefit of the population of the Orinoco Motor District.

The fifth agreement is the creation of the Comprehensive Orinoco Medical Emergency Service, which will begin with eight ambulances. A meeting was established with doctors and personnel for its advancement and start-up.

Agreement number six has to do with holding a meeting with President Nicolás Maduro and with the Minister for Planning of the Venezuelan Government, Ricardo Menéndez, to show them the progress.

The seventh commitment is to complete the census survey by the National Institute of Statistics (INE) of the parishes Los Pijigüaos, in Bolívar, Codazzi, in Apure, and Parhueña in Amazonas.

In the eighth agreement, the activation of the joint planning work was heard to take advantage of the northern summer planting cycle, in support of small and medium-sized agricultural, indigenous and peasant producers.

Strengthen the joint mechanisms for the use of the fluvial route of the Orinoco – Apure axis, for the transport of merchandise, strategic materials and heavy cargo is agreement number nine.

Commitment 10 is the reactivation of the Puerto Páez Industrial Slaughterhouse in Apure, to put it at the order of the Orinoco Motor District, and agreement 11 was to promote the cultural and sports integration of the three states, through tournaments of various disciplines Motor District Cup Orinoco, which will take place in Puerto Ayacucho, Amazonas state.
