As is known, Apple considers a product obsolete when it stopped being marketed (officially) more than seven years ago. With that, the company stops all hardware services and Apple Authorized Service Centers can no longer order parts for these devices – except in some cases of MacBooks that are entitled to an additional battery-only repair period.
Among obsolete external displays is the 27 inch LED Cinema Display — which doesn’t make much sense, as it was introduced in July 2010 and officially discontinued in October 2013, well over seven years ago. Besides him, the Thunderbolt Displayreleased in July 2011 and discontinued in June 2016, is also considered obsolete now.
Among the Apple tablets, the iPad Pro the 9.7″ (both Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + Cellular models), launched in March 2016, the fifth generation iPad (Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + Cellular), introduced in March 2017 and the iPad Air original (Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + Cellular), introduced in October 2013 — and only discontinued in 2016 — are now on the obsolete list.
