Berlin (OTS) – “The Fox”, “15 Years” and “The Theory of Everything”:
At the German Film Prize 2024, three cinema films co-financed by ORF as part of the film/television agreement were awarded the prestigious Lolas today, on Friday, May 3, 2024. The coveted awards were presented for the 74th time and the ceremony took place in the Theater am Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. The historical drama “The Fox” (a total of five nominations – also for “Best Screenplay”, “Best Camera/Image Design”, “Best Visual Effects”), in which director and screenwriter Adrian Goiginger tells the true story of his great-grandfather, who died in the Second World War meets a fox pup and discovers faith in love through the close friendship with him, was honored with the silver Lola for “Best Feature Film” (producers: Hana Geißendörfer, Malte Can, Gerrit Klein). Simon Morzé also received the “Best Male Lead” award for his performance in the film. The trophy for “Best Female Supporting Role” went to Adele Neuhauser for her performance in the drama “15 Years” (a total of three nominations – also for “Best Female Lead Role” and “Best Male Supporting Role”) regarding a pianist who takes following her prison sentence finds himself in a battle with himself and the world. The thriller “The Theory of Everything” (a total of six nominations – also for “Best Feature Film”, “Best Director”, “Best Film Music”) was nominated in the categories “Best Camera/Image Design” (Roland Stuprich), “Best Visual Effects” (Kariem Saleh, Adrian Meyer) and “Best Production Design” (Cosima Vellenzer, Anika Klatt) were awarded. The ORF was also represented with four nominations each for “A Whole Life” (“Best Feature Film”, “Best Sound Design”, “Best Production Design”, “Best Makeup Design”) and “Stella. A life.” (“Best production design”, “Best costume design”, “Best make-up design”, “Best visual effects”).
