And we will win this war,” says Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the massive attacks by Hamas, which is classified as a terrorist organization. Numerous deaths have already occurred following rocket attacks from the air. Israel is in a state of emergency. Could this turn into a wildfire? Why was this attack not foreseen by the intelligence services? And how does the world react? Moderator Susanne Höggerl discusses this and more in live broadcasts to Israel and with guests in the studio. The following programs “Do you understand fun?” on ORF 1 and “Die Toten vom Bodensee” on ORF 2 can then be seen at 8.30 p.m.

TV program changes for tomorrow, Sunday, October 8, 2023:

Tomorrow, on Sunday, October 8, 2023, “IM ZENTRUM” will change the topic at 10:15 p.m. on ORF 2. Claudia Reiterer is discussing “Attack on Israel – is there a risk of a long war?”: The radical Islamic Palestinian group Hamas launched a surprise offensive on Israel on Saturday. It is the largest attack since May 2021. The massive attack from the Gaza Strip was unexpected, but the situation, especially in the occupied West Bank, had recently worsened once more. The Israeli military is in “war mode” and is carrying out air strikes on the Gaza Strip. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaks of war. What impact do the attacks have on Israel? Is there really a risk of war? Can the conflict now become a conflagration in the region? According to the UN, more than two million people live in very poor conditions in the Gaza Strip. How can this conflict, which has been simmering for so long, be resolved or at least defused and how can the USA and Europe mediate here? The guests have not yet been announced.

Previously, “ZIB Spezial” programs at 7:00 and 8:00 a.m. (5 minutes each) and a 25-minute “ZIB Spezial” at 9:00 a.m. are on the ORF 2 program. The “matinee” begins at 9:25 a.m. The other “ZIB” programs also provide ongoing information regarding current events in Israel.

The orf.at network with a live ticker and the ORF TELETEXT report comprehensively. The ORF radios Ö1, Ö3 and FM4 are currently reporting in the news and “journals”. In addition, Ö1 is extending both the “Morgenjournal” (8 a.m.) and the news programs on Sunday, October 8th.
