Orange and red alerts: Heavy rains sometimes stormy and snowfall from Wednesday to Friday in several provinces of the Kingdom

Heavy rains, sometimes stormy (70-120 mm), gusts of wind (50-70 km / h) and snowfall (20-40 cm) are expected from Wednesday to Friday in several provinces of the Kingdom, announced Tuesday the Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM).

The DGM thus warns that the provinces of Tangier-Assilah, Fahs-Anjra, Tetouan, Larache, Ouazzane, Mdiq-Fnideq and Chefchaouen will experience, from Wednesday at 3 a.m. to Thursday at 12 p.m., heavy rains, sometimes stormy, ranging between 70 and 120 mm ( level of red vigilance), indicated the DGM in an updated alert bulletin.

Rainfall varying between 35 and 45 mm (orange vigilance level) will fall on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., in the provinces of Taounate, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane and Kénitra and between 20 and 35 mm are expected in Rabat, Skhirate-Temara , Salé, Khémisset, El Jadida, Mohammedia, Benslimane and Casablanca, according to the same source.

Also, rains ranging between 35 and 50 mm are expected from Wednesday at 6 p.m. to Thursday at 6 a.m. in the provinces of Ifrane, Khénifra, Khouribga, Beni Mellal and Taza.

On the other hand, fairly strong gusts of wind (50 to 70 km / h) are expected, Wednesday and Thursday, on the plains north of Essaouira, the Rif, the Saiss and the High and Middle Atlas.

In addition, snowfalls of 20 to 40 cm (level of organ vigilance) will concern from Thursday at 10 a.m. to Friday at 8 p.m. the provinces of Ifrane, Boulemane, Beni Mellal, Azilal and Midelt, concluded the DGM.
