The National Meteorological Service (SMN) issued a new orange alert for tomorrow due to heat, due to the extreme temperatures that are expected for Río Negro and Neuquén.
From the SMN they indicated that the warning governs from this Friday to Saturday at 18:24, although it is likely to extend to On Sunday they are expected in some points that the thermometer marks 40 degrees Celsius.
In Neuquén, extreme temperatures are expected in the zone of Confluencia, east of Añelo, Picún Leufú and east of Pehuenches. While in Río Negro, for the east of El Cuy and General Roca.
From the Interjurisdictional Basin Authority (AIC) they reported that in the region the presence of warm air maintains the rise in temperature with sunny and hot days throughout the region.
“Se conditions intensify during the weekend with a northerly wind. Cooler air Sunday night with winds from the southwest. Warm to hot next week. Unstable periods”, they reported.
Orange alert in Neuquén and Río Negro
In the SMN report, they pointed out that due to the heat it remains in orange level the warning for areas that will record higher temperatures.
They explained that they can generate a “moderate to high health effect” and that “they can be very dangerous, especially for risk groups.”
