NNA – Zahle – The Mobaderoon Association, in cooperation with the specialist in oral and dental surgery, Dr. Badie Al-Hajj Shaheen, organized a medical symposium on oral and dental health for secondary school classes at the King Jesus Institute for the Basilian Choueirite nuns in Zahle, in the presence of Mother Superior Emile Joseph Al-Hajj Shaheen, and the school’s principal, Marcel. Qabbani, Sister Suzan Salama, the school’s teachers and students, the head of the Parents Council, and the members of the association, as part of a series of awareness and guidance activities carried out by the association.
Nada Marouni, head of the Media Association, pointed out “the importance of these periodic medical seminars organized by the Association with the most skilled doctors,” stressing “the need to give early dental care the highest priority, especially in childhood and youth, to preserve it in the long term.”
Al-Marouni explained the association’s “objectives and activities that work for the public interest and to enhance communication and interaction within society so that justice and equality prevail among all its members.”
Then, Dr. Haj Shaheen showed a documentary film regarding modern technologies to address everything related to oral and dental protection, highlighting the latest scientific developments related to how to treat oral and dental diseases in the elderly and young. He also explained the relationship between oral health and some common diseases.
Haj Shaheen enumerated the various treatment methods and mandatory oral care, the most important of which is cleaning the teeth to prevent the formation of plaque. Salts and minerals must also be replaced using fluoride, which strengthens them and avoids tooth decay.
The meeting concluded with a word of thanks and appreciation from President Mother Haj Shaheen for the efforts of journalist Nada Marouni and Dr. Badie Haj Shaheen in organizing this campaign in schools in Zahle and the Bekaa, expressing her pride in them, especially since they are veteran students of the Jesus the King Institute.
Maroney also thanked the Mother President for the warm reception, noting that “the awareness campaign will include many schools, successively, for students and age groups that deal with the concepts smoothly and acquire and expand their circle of knowledge.” Maroney also thanked everyone from Colgate -chivito -ibtisamati-facefact.
