While President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol is pursuing a plan to relocate the Blue House office to Yongsan, it has been argued that an online community used by Yongsan residents has systematically posted articles against it.

On the 20th, the community management team posted a notice titled ‘Joining is running out’. The management team announced, “As soon as you sign up, you will be suspended indefinitely from posting and commenting on political content, such as moving the office without any activity.” In a community created for friendship and communication, new subscribers who are not even sure whether they live in Yongsan are pouring out articles related to the relocation of the presidential office.

One community member raised suspicions that there was systematic manipulation of public opinion by posting a post titled ‘But it’s really strange’. He said, “I don’t mean to write a political post, but if you click on those who actually wrote ‘Tsinghua University’ in the comments, they all signed up after March, and all they wrote is a signup greeting.” The probability of opposing the transfer is…”

Another member who commented on this post also suspected that the comment was manipulated by a Chinese organization, saying, “I want to include an item that swears at Xi Jinping (President of China) in the membership conditions.” However, it has not been confirmed whether the members who posted objections to the relocation of the office in the community actually had Chinese citizenship.

Earlier, at the press conference of the Presidential Transition Committee held at the Korea Financial Research and Training Institute in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, on the same day, President-elect Yoon announced that “the office of the president will be relocated to the Ministry of National Defense in Yongsan, Seoul.” He plans to move into the Yongsan government building immediately after the inauguration ceremony on May 10 and start working. President-elect Yoon said, “I will return the Blue House, a symbol of imperial power, to the people. It is a difficult task, but it is a decision for the future of the country.”

However, passport figures including the Democratic Party of Korea are strongly opposed to the relocation of the office. On the 21st, Democratic Party lawmaker Seol-hoon appeared on CBS Radio’s ‘Kim Hyun-jung’s News Show’ on CBS Radio’s ‘Kim Hyun-jung’s News Show’ and said, “They say they will move the office of the president and enter on May 10, but this is not going to happen.” There are all kinds of stories about ‘violent’ and ‘it’s out of control.’ In my view, the biggest problem is that it’s physically impossible.”

Pro-female broadcaster Kim Eo-jun also said on TBS radio’s ‘Kim Eo-jun’s News Factory’ that day, “What kind of people asked for the Blue House back? If an office is built near the office, it can communicate with the people, and asking to leave the Ministry of Defense in a few days is to rule over the ministry. “Isn’t it?” he said, “I don’t understand a single line.”
