Opportunities for Law Students: Internships at the Paris Administrative Court

In addition to internships open to trainee lawyers, which are subject to a specific procedure, the Paris administrative court offers students the opportunity to undertake internships tailored to their level of study and professional project. These can be either short discovery internships or internships lasting 4 to 6 months integrated into a university curriculum.

Target Audience: Students holding at least a Bachelor’s degree in law and pursuing a Master’s 1 or 2 in public law.

Prerequisites:

  • Have completed courses in administrative litigation

  • Possess good writing skills

  • Be proficient in computer tools (notably Word and Internet)

  • Be capable of conducting documentary research using computerized databases.

Description: Selected students are supervised by a chamber president, a magistrate, or a litigation assistant for the preparation of litigation files, which are then submitted to the hearing formations, as well as for conducting legal research. They may also be required to work alongside the jurisdiction’s president. This internship provides a concrete approach to jurisdictional work and is particularly relevant for students aiming for the TA advisor competition.

Duration of the internship: between 4 and 6 months.

For internship applications between January and June 2025 -> the submission of applications will take place between July and September 30, 2024.

The examination and selection of applications will be conducted in November 2024.

Preselected candidates based on their educational backgrounds and motivation may be called for an interview.
