OPPO Unveils Flash Charge Technology at MWC 2022

OPPO has announced two advancements in high-speed charging: 150W SUPERVOOC with Battery Health Engine (BHE) and 240W SUPERVOOC flash charge technology.

OPPO has integrated the self-developed BHE into a high-speed 150W SUPERVOOC flash charge, allowing the battery to maintain up to 80% of its original capacity following 1,600 charge cycles, doubling the current industry standard.

240W SUPERVOOC flash charge technology is the latest technological advancement in the mobile phone industry. Capable of charging a 4,500mAh battery from 1% to 100% in approximately 9 minutes, 240W SUPERVOOC opens a new era of safe and efficient fast charging.

150W SUPERVOOC with BHE: Advanced Charging Performance

From the evolution of leading 125W SUPERVOOC flash charge technology comes a 150W SUPERVOOC flash charge with BHE that uses DC charging technology with 2 charging pumps, which can support charging up to 20V/7.5A.

The 150W SUPERVOOC with BHE adapter also uses gallium nitride (GaN) to reduce the adapter size to nearly the size of the previous 65W SUPERVOOC adapter, measuring 58 x. 57 x 30 mm and weighs approximately 172 g.

Battery Health Engine: Beyond Speed

To improve all-round charging experience, 150W SUPERVOOC flash charge comes with Battery Health Engine feature, powered by OPPO’s customized battery management chip, and combines two key technologies, Smart Battery Health algorithm and Battery Healing Technology. These will help improve battery health, safety, and performance by optimizing hardware and software.

Smart Battery Health Algorithm can track the electric potential in real time through the negative terminal inside the battery. and dynamically adjust the charging current to the appropriate range. Effectively reduce the generation of lithium dead while maintaining maximum charging current. So it guarantees a healthier battery life and faster charging speed.

Battery Healing Technology extends battery life from the battery’s internal system. by improving the electrolyte formula The electrodes are continuously repaired during the battery charging and discharging cycles, creating a more stable and durable Solid Electrolyte Interface (SEI). which will maintain perfect status all the time in real time Reduces wear on the positive and negative terminals of the battery. Therefore, it can improve battery performance and extend battery life.

BHE will be integrated into most mid-to-high-end OPPO and OnePlus phones in the future. Bringing more safety, performance and durability to users, the 150W SUPERVOOC flash charge with BHE will be launched on OnePlus smartphones in the second quarter of this year.

240W SUPERVOOC: The next step in high-power fast charging.

As the demand for high-efficiency charging solutions increases in the era of 5G smart connectivity, OPPO has pushed the limits of high-power fast charging and launched 240W SUPERVOOC, a new technology capable of charging a 4,500mAh battery to 100%. in regarding 9 minutes

240W SUPERVOOC is designed with 24V/10A technology on a Type-C interface, has three charging pumps and can convert the power supplied to a mobile phone to 10V/24A, meeting the specifications of existing devices. and has been tested in terms of heat dissipation. This ensures maximum performance and increased safety. Additionally, the battery’s class-leading discharge rate allows the hardware to support up to 240W of power.

240W SUPERVOOC delivers a safe, seamless charging experience and pushes the limits of charging speed. By taking a holistic approach to the safety of adapters, chargers and phones, OPPO reduces potential hazards and security risks. By providing an efficient and safe charging solution:

  • 240W SUPERVOOC employs 5 safety protection measures including a specially tuned intelligent control chip that regulates voltage, current and temperature to provide a safe charging solution.
  • The custom battery safety check chip checks if the mobile phone’s battery is damaged by external factors when in use.
  • Temperature protection is developed through 13 temperature sensors built into the phone. It reduces overheating and helps to avoid malfunctions.
