The Reno 9, 9 Pro and 9 Pro+ are finally entering the smartphone market. On the program this year, a welcome increase in their power, but also a very beautiful curved OLED screen.
As expected, Oppo has just launched three new smartphones in China, the Reno 9, 9 Pro and 9 Pro+. These directly follow the Reno 8 that we were able to test a few weeks ago. The Reno 9 is powered by un Snapdragon 778Gwhile the Reno 9 Pro is entitled to a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max. The Reno 9 Pro + is the most efficient, since it is equipped with a chip Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1as the recent Honor 80 Pro.
If they were all powerful, they probably won’t be among the most autonomous smartphones. The Reno 9 and 9 Pro will rely on a battery of only 4500 mAh with 67 W fast chargingwhile the Reno 9 Pro+ can count on a battery of 4700 mAh with 80 W fast charging.
A beautiful curved screen and an interesting photo part
The three smartphones will benefit from the same 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. The latter has the particularity of being curved, which is not usual on mid-range smartphones. We can also note very thin borders all around the screen, which gives a very modern look to the devices.
On the photo side, all smartphones will use a 32 MP IMX709 front sensor, housed in a punch in the center of the screen. On the back, the Reno 9 will be equipped with two cameras, including a 64 MP main sensor as well as a 2 MP secondary sensor.
The Reno 9 Pro and 9 Pro will be the most interesting, since they are both entitled to a new 50 MP IMX890 main sensor, the model that replaces the famous IMX766. It will be accompanied by an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and the Reno 9 Pro+ is equipped with a third 2 MP sensor.
In terms of prices, you have to count on 2499 yuan for the Reno 9 in its version with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The Reno 9 Pro starts at 3499 yuan with 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage and the Reno 9 Pro+ at 3999 yuan with 16 GB + 256 GB. of one of the most affordable smartphones with 16 GB of RAM.
