Oppo confirms that it is the master of fast charging!

Recharge with Oppo: always faster!

Oppo presented at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2022 two high-speed charging technologies. In this race for speed, it unveiled the 150W Supervooc with “Battery Health Engine” (BHE) and the new 240W Supervooc super fast charging technology. Something to think about when some competing smartphones charge almost 10x slower…

According to Oppo, this innovation is not at the expense of battery life. “The 150W Supervooc system sets a new world record for smartphone battery charge and discharge cycles, while the 240W Supervooc system sets a new benchmark in the fast charging industry,” Oppo points out.

100% charge in 9 minutes…

The Chinese says it has added to its 150 W Supervooc “Battery Health Engine” (BHE) fast charging technology, an in-house developed system that allows a battery to retain 80% of its capacity after 1,600 full charge cycles. This is double the current industry average, he said. The Oppo FINd X5 pro is already equipped with it!

But Oppo wants to go even further to overtake the few competitors who recharge faster than it… “With its 240 W Supervooc, Oppo takes a new technological leap in the field of smartphones: fast charging technology recharges a battery of 100% 4,500 mAh in about 9 minutes”, he specifies!

Battery Health Engine

The Battery Health Engine of the 150W Supervooc uses an in-house battery management chip. “It incorporates two key technologies: the Smart Battery Health algorithm and Battery Healing technology. Combined, these two technologies ensure the hardware and software optimization of the system and improve the state of the battery, its security and its performance”, according to Oppo.

The Smart Battery Health algorithm, on the other hand, monitors the electrical potential at the negative electrode inside the battery in real time. It ensures that charging is dynamic over an adequate range, effectively minimizing the occurrence of “dead” lithium and preserving maximum charging current.
