The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested 9 terrorists during 70 intelligence-based operations in various cities of Punjab. Explosive materials, hand grenades, IED bombs, cash and mobile phones have been recovered from the possession of the terrorists.
According to the statement released by the spokesman CTD Punjab, operations were conducted in Lahore, Fasilabad, Gujranwala, Bahalpur, Bahawalnagar, Sialkot and Hafizabad based on secret information.
The statement said that 2 important workers who provided financial support to the outlawed TTP were arrested from Lahore, explosive materials, 2 hand grenades, an IED bomb, cash and a mobile phone were recovered from the possession of the terrorists.

According to CTD spokesman, 179 operations were conducted based on intelligence in Pakpattan, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur and Sahiwal and a major terrorist plot was foiled.
It should be remembered that on September 13 this year, the Balochistan Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) said that a suspected commander of the banned ISIS was killed during an operation in Mastung.
Earlier on August 19, 13 alleged terrorists were arrested by CTD, including key ISIS commanders.
On August 12, the Punjab Anti-Terrorism Department arrested 21 ‘terrorists’, including militants from the banned Daesh and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.
