Modernized, the Carrière Sous-Vent will start again for 25 years
The Canton has validated the new concession to operate a sector on the Lavey side. Three million francs will be used to replace obsolete machines.

With its new concession for 25 years, the Sous-Vent quarry in Bex will invest 3 million to bring its most dilapidated facilities up to date.

The Carrière Sous-Vent managers were just waiting for this to start the modernization of their facilities. The Canton has validated their request for extension of the concession to operate the site located along the cantonal road between Bex and Lavey, at the height of the motorway entrance to Valais.
