Continuous training for optimal customer service in OPAP stores and PLAY
A completely renewed training center for partners and network staff was inaugurated by OPAP on Wednesday 15 March 2023. The new Training Hub offers a modern learning environment where OPAP network people have the opportunity to get hands-on training, with the contribution of the company’s Retail Training team, around topics such as optimal customer service, the daily operation and digital solutions of the OPAP and PLAY stores, etc.
The new training center represents an important investment in the training and continuous development of OPAP’s new and existing partners, with the aim of the overall upgrade of the entertainment experience offered by their stores to the customers of the company’s retail network.
The event for the opening of the Training Hub was attended by the CEO of OPAP, Yan Karas, the Deputy CEO of OPAP, Odysseas Christoforou, the Chief Retail Officer of OPAP, Ilias Katsaros, the Chief Operations Officer of OPAP, Matthias Matthaiou, members of OPAP’s Retail Training team and partners of the company’s network. “We create a true entertainment experience in our stores”
The CEO of OPAP, Ian Karas, emphasized: “The retail network is at the heart of OPAP’s activities. For this, it is very important to ensure that we offer a real entertainment experience in our stores. I am confident that our new Training Hub will help achieve this goal. It will help new partners joining our network, as well as existing ones, to better prepare for the future and meet the needs and expectations of our customers.”
The Chief Retail Officer of OPAP, Ilias Katsaros, underlined: “Training is extremely important and can make us ‘champions’.” We are training our network to meet the needs of the future and for OPAP store owners to become even better businessmen. We also train our partners around Responsible Gaming, which is a top priority for OPAP.”
For his part, OPAP’s Chief Operations Officer, Mattheos Mattheiou, noted: “We created a space, which was not named Training Hub by chance. We want this space to be a space for creation, meetings and trainings. The investment made in this privately owned building demonstrates in the best way our dedication to our partners and our dedication to upgrading our customer service.”
The new OPAP training center, located in Peristeri, fully simulates the operation of a modern OPAP and PLAY store. It has state-of-the-art digital tools and equipment, which offer a fully interactive and enjoyable learning experience.
