Afrijet, the first airline in the CEMAC zone, officially announces the opening of a new route linking Libreville and Oyem from March 13, 2024, strengthening the Gabonese domestic air network and offering increased connectivity. This announcement is part of a context of development of the company’s offering.
The new connection between Libreville and Oyem proposed by Afrijet marks an important step in strengthening the Gabonese air transport offer. Following the upgrading of Oyem airport and the test flight on March 2, 2024, Afrijet becomes the first airline to offer direct service to these two cities in 6 years.
The new Libreville-Oyem link is operated with three rotations per week. Afrijet offers a direct flight on Monday and Wednesday. On Saturday, a stopover is made in Port-Gentil, thus offering greater flexibility to passengers.
This new offer is part of Afrijet’s regional development with the launch of the Libreville-Kinshasa line in November 2023 and the inauguration of two new agencies in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, in January 2024.
Strengthening the national offer aims to facilitate travel for Gabonese people and represents a lever for regional development. By enabling a regular air connection between Libreville and Oyem and by offering additional service to Port-Gentil, Afrijet contributes to stimulating economic activity and strengthening links between the different regions of Gabon.
