A partnership agreement was signed on Friday in Tangier for the opening of a new luxury hotel unit. Signed between the Zaid Ali Star Hill Tangier group and the international Hilton Worldwide group, this agreement concerns the opening of the first international Waldorf Astoria hotel in Tangier, in the presence of the heads of the two institutions, indicates a joint press release from the establishments.
This partnership agreement is part of Morocco’s efforts and its desire to strengthen investments and enrich the tourist offer of the kingdom and the city of Tangier to promote its attractiveness.
This project is the first of its kind for Waldorf Astoria not only in Morocco but also at the African level, since it is the company’s first hotel unit in the continent, knowing that the brand is present with its units in more from 35 cities around the world, including Beverly Hills, New York, Washington, London, Amsterdam, Rome, and Dubai, among others.
The Hilton International group brings together and manages many international hotel brands, including the Waldorf Astoria brand, and includes more than 6,900 hotels and more than 18 international brands with a capacity of 1.1 million rooms, spread over 122 countries, and located in the most attractive areas worldwide.
