What if you took advantage of a stay in Mauritius to practice padel, a sport derived from tennis? This is now possible thanks to the opening of a club by Ennoia, Padel Island. The first phase of 12,000 m2 of the complex is located on the historic site of a former sugar factory, where there is still a chimney and ruins, all surrounded by a tropical landscape, in Beau Plan.
Isla Padel invites visitors to come discover Mauritius as part of a padel course. Tourists can thus enjoy the setting of the destination while improving their game thanks to courses supervised by pros from the Isla Padel Academy. These courses include technical and tactical training sessions and matches once morest locals are also offered in order to confront other players and meet Mauritians from another angle..
The club includes 5 fields, a Club House including a Proshop with direct view of the grounds, a bar-restaurant with an outdoor terrace, and 2 tennis courts from November 1, 2023. These grounds, open to the outsideare the first in Mauritius designed to international standards and Ennoia aims to host major international competitions there.
The 300 m2 club house is modern and comfortable. It includes a reception, a ProShop, cozy changing rooms, a restaurant-bar opening onto a large covered and uncovered terrace with a view of the central area. The “1890” restaurant, as a reminder of the date of construction of the chimney on the site, will offer a bistronomic cuisine created by the chef straight from Bocuse. A modern meeting room was also created in the ruins under the century-old trees to accommodate businesses.
Near, a fully glazed cardio and bodybuilding gym space has been specially designed for warm-ups, recovery but also specific padel training.
