During the 2024-2025 academic year, Cap Estérias will host a multi-purpose polytechnic university with a capacity of 12,000 places which will provide training in hospitality professions, tourism, biodiversity and management.
The construction of the future university was launched in 2008 by former president Omar Bongo, relaunched by his successor Ali Bongo then reactivated by the Committee for the Transition and Restoration of Institutions (CTRI).
Built on an area of 10 hectares, with 54 classrooms for a total capacity of 12,000 students, this university which will welcome students from sectors such as hospitality, tourism, biodiversity and management, includes academic infrastructures, administrative accommodation, a restaurant and a hotel designed to serve as a practical training platform for students in hospitality sectors.
Tuesday, the president of the Transition, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, visited the site.
At the end of this visit, Oligui Nguema instructed the company to deliver the work in April 2025 in order to welcome the first students from the start of the 2024-2025 academic year.
