Step 1

Candidates for Prime Minister will be nominated for a vote in the House of Representatives. According to Article 88 of the Constitution “Candidate for Prime Minister”, your name must appear on the party list. According to Article 159 of the Constitution, the party must be a party with 25 or more members.

Step 2

Voting for Prime Minister This must be done through a public vote. and have more than half of the votes of the members. In accordance with Article 159 of the Constitution, the names of members and senators are listed in alphabetical order. and vote individually

Step 3


Parliament will elect members and senators to serve on the counting committee. For the sake of transparency, the person who will serve as Prime Minister must obtain a majority of the votes in the House of Representatives (excluding senators). There are 493 members who must obtain 248 votes or more to be elected Prime Minister.

Step 4

When the candidate for Prime Minister is approved, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Mr. Wan Mohamed Noor Mata, will assume the leadership and appoint the Prime Minister. Presented to His Majesty
