On the occasion of Thanksgiving, Monday, some services to citizens will be closed while other businesses will welcome customers.
Small grocery stores, pharmacies and public markets will be open on this holiday, as will several shopping centers and businesses.
Most SAQ stores will be open that day.
SQDC branches will be open, except for branches on strike. To follow the situation in the various establishments, the population is invited to follow the SQDC’s Twitter page, where updates will be published. Web orders are however maintained in their entirety.
With regard to sports and cultural facilities, the population is invited to communicate directly with the staff before moving, since the schedules may vary depending on the borough.
The Biodôme, Biosphere, Botanical Garden, Insectarium and Planetarium, as well as several museums, will be open to visitors.
The ecocentres will remain open according to summer hours, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. All waste collections that normally take place on Mondays are maintained, except in Montreal North, where it is postponed to October 11.
Permit counters and provincial and federal administrative offices will close for this holiday. Email requests will be processed from October 11th.
Libraries, cultural centres, financial institutions and post offices will also be closed.
