On Saturday evening, the Opelousas Pregnancy Center held its highly anticipated annual gala, transforming Our Savior’s Church into a lavish setting that celebrated the center’s commitment to serving the community while offering guests an unforgettable night filled with delightful activities and insights into the invaluable support they provide.

As attendees arrived, they were greeted by the enchanting melodies of local pianist Catherine Brooks, whose skillful performance created a warm and inviting atmosphere. Inside the church, a vibrant interactive photo booth was strategically placed for guests to capture fun moments from the evening, while a silent auction featured a plethora of enticing items, with tables overflowing with opportunities to indulge in spirited bidding.

During the evening’s program, dedicated volunteers and advocates were honored for their unwavering service to the expecting mothers who turn to the center for support, all the while enjoying a mouth-watering meal catered by Brent’s Big Hill Café. To further highlight the center’s important work, attendees watched a compelling video showcase prepared by Page50 Media, offering a personal perspective on how the Opelousas Pregnancy Center’s programs have positively impacted the lives of many women.

The event took a lively turn as special guest Jeff Copeland engaged guests in an exhilarating game of Heads or Tails, adding an element of suspense and thrill with opportunities to win cash prizes. To amplify the excitement, this Texan charmed the crowd throughout the live auction, urging attendees to raise their paddles for an array of exceptional encounters up for bid, including an exclusive LSU Game Day Experience, a thrilling adventure package entailing a week-long stay at Lake Darbonne, and a Boujee Teepp Party enhanced by a professional photo session.

Adding an artistic flair to the evening, local artist Sarah Clostio was on site creating a stunning live painting, skillfully inspired by the gala’s theme. This exquisite piece was auctioned off toward the end of the program, contributing to the evening’s success.

Since its inception in 2020, the Opelousas Pregnancy Center has achieved remarkable milestones, hosting over 2,400 appointments for expectant mothers, positively impacting 691 women, and celebrating the arrival of more than 100 newborns. Each client who enrolls in their comprehensive program incurs an impressive average service cost of $1,900, covering vital resources such as pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, educational classes, mentoring sessions, and essential supplies—all provided absolutely free of charge, ensuring these women receive the care and support they desperately need during such a critical phase of their lives.
