Tomorrow (31.1.2024) the payments for the January benefits will be made, according to the announcement of the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family and the Organization of Welfare Benefits and Social Solidarity (OPEKA).
OPECA’s announcement states that the January allowances reach 206,097,020 euros. More specifically:
- Child allowance, 30,657 beneficiaries 21,092,469 euros the beneficiaries include those who were entitled to the child allowance in 2023 and submitted an application, but also those who definitively submitted their supporting documents and their application was approved by 19.1]=2024. Those in question also receive the extraordinary installment of the Solidarity allowance.
- Housing Benefit, 237,491 beneficiaries 28,876,611 euros
- Minimum Guaranteed Income, 198,940 beneficiaries 43,390,482 euros
- Disabled, 183,664 beneficiaries 84,962,577 euros
- Housing Benefit, 686 beneficiaries, 201,828 euros
- Homogenous Allowance, 5,657 beneficiaries 199,119 euros
- Allowance for Uninsured Seniors, (law 1296/1982) 15,167 beneficiaries 5,706,280 euros
- Social Solidarity Allowance for the Elderly, 17,967 beneficiaries 7,144,005 euros
- Social Solidarity Allowance for the Greek minority in Albania, 11,130 beneficiaries 2,848,844 euros
- Funeral expenses, 94 beneficiaries 74,932 euros
- Birth allowance, 10,616 beneficiaries 10,660,000 euros
- Mountain & Disadvantaged Areas Allowance, 68 beneficiaries 31,800 euros
- Red Loans, 2,041 beneficiaries 182,700 euros
- Protected children of those who died in natural disasters, 10 beneficiaries 10,000 euros
- Bridge Program, 33 beneficiaries 8,622 euros
- Undertaking Allowance, 564 beneficiaries 274,646 euros
- Public Contribution Program for vulnerable debtors, 141 beneficiaries 15,263 euros
- Personal assistant program 532 beneficiaries 416,842 euros
