The target of the error remittance refund support is between 50,000 won and 10 million won, and you can apply for the error remittance refund support in the forecast within one year from the date of the error remittance.
The reason for this limit on the amount is because the financial authorities judged that the cost of collection is higher for less than 50,000 won, and the individual can afford to hire a lawyer and return it for an error remittance of more than 10 million won.
For the refund amount by mistake, the remaining balance is returned following deducting the cost of postal guidance, payment order-related stamps, service costs, and forecast collection costs such as labor costs.
Forecast received a total of 6,101 (8.8 billion won) support applications from wrong remittance senders by January this year following the implementation of the refund support system for erroneous remittances following July 6, last year. returned to the sender. Of the 1705 returned cases, 1,661 cases were voluntary returns, while the remaining 44 cases were rejected by the recipient despite the forecast, and returned through the court’s payment order procedure.
The average payment rate in case of error remittance refund is 96.0% (if it is 1 million won, 960,000 won is returned following excluding fees), and the average period from the application date was 42 days. Self-return took an average of 40 days, and return through payment order took an average of 107 days.
Voice phishing damage error remittance refund support excluded
Misrepresented remittance refund support is not subject to application in cases of voice phishing (telephone financial fraud) damage, but there are a number of cases where such damage is judged to be a remittance error, and applications for error remittance return support are occurring in the forecast.

Meanwhile, as of the end of last year, Forecast analyzed the status of applicants for error remittance refund support by age. As a result of the total 4945 applications, those in their 30s accounted for 23.8%, followed by those in their 40s with 22.9%, and those in their 30s and 40s accounted for 50 % was approaching. In addition, 0.8% of those in their 20s, 17.1% in their 20s, 21.1% in their 50s, 11.4% in their 60s, and 2.9% in their 70s or older.
