Under development is legislation that aims to crackdown on encampments, bolster shelter funding, and give police new powers.

London’s mayor, Josh Morgan, acknowledges Public needs arevoiced clarity and expressed cautious optimism towards the new measures while voicing concerns.

"When we see the details, we’ll be able to understand this better. I suggest people be open to it, not jump to a bunch of conclusions,” Mayor Morgan communicated via social media.“If we can solve all these things, we’re finally on the right track in trying to give people the care they need but also create the public safety…that people have been looking for.”
