An Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer is facing charges for allegedly breaking into her former boyfriend’s home, where she allegedly assaulted his new girlfriend, all while she was on duty.

The alleged victim of police officer Amanda Farrell, Chantelle Stamcos, recounted these “15 minutes of terror” that occurred in September 2022 in an interview with CTV News on Monday.

According to the victim, the agent broke into the new couple’s home. “She was in uniform, with her hand on her weapon almost at all times,” she said.

According to her testimony, the policewoman spent a quarter of an hour there, verbally attacking her ex and his new flame.

“At one point we said ‘if you don’t leave, we’re going to have to call the police’ and she said ‘I’m the police’,” Stamcos said.

In the weeks following this incident, Amanda Farrell accused her former boyfriend of assaulting her while they were a couple, but the charges have since been dropped.

On the other hand, charges were ultimately filed once morest the police officer, including for breaking and entering, forcible confinement, harassment and two counts of assault. She is expected in court on Friday.

Despite everything, the OPP told CTV News that it had not suspended its police officer
