Three times more Ontario families will be able to obtain provincially funded assisted reproduction services, says the Ontario government, thanks to a new two-year investment of $150 million in the provincial program.
Ontario Health Minister Sylvia Jones made the announcement Thursday. She said that through this investment, more families will be able to benefit from government-funded in vitro fertilization cycles in more hospitals and community clinics.

As of January 2025, the province also wants to introduce a tax credit that would cover up to 25% of eligible expenses for Ontario residents, added Ontario Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy, also present during the the announcement.
