Official link to know the results
As in previous electoral processes, the official results of the ONPE will be announced on the website of the electoral body: www.onpe.gob.pe
From the ONPE they specified that the LINK with the results will be activated following the first advance is provided, that is, at averaging 10 pm
“We hope to have results to show the public interesting percentages between 10 pm and 11 pm, although closer to 10 pm”, stated the head of the ONPE in RPP.
Corvetto also commented that they hope to close the tables at least from 5:15 pm, taking into account that in some cases the population that is still in the voting centers must be finished. Polling places will close their doors at 5 p.m.
“Then we will move on to a process of counting the votes, always with the presence of representatives of the political organizations whom I invite to be present at each of our more than 84,000 voting tables and they must take a copy of the tally sheet and be able to compare that record with the information that we posted“, said.
ONPE does not do quick counts
ONPE sources recalled that this electoral entity “does not carry out” quick counts like the polling companies.
They also reiterated that the information on the progress in the processing of the minutes and the accounting of results will be made constantly on the ONPE website.
It should be noted that the first preview of results provided by ONPE come from the tables closest to the installed computing centers. The last votes to be processed correspond to the polling stations in rural areas and abroad.
To remind
In the 2021 General Elections, ONPE gave its first official results report through its website, following processing 11.442% of the records.
The results were published on the ONPE website, where they were updated every half hour, depending on the processing of the tally sheets that came from the voting centers.
