A ONLYOFFICEwhich features a suite of document editing applications for Mac, launched this week a version of DocSpace to the video calling service app store Zoom. The app allows you to collaboratively edit documents, spreadsheets and presentations in real time with other participants during meetings.

With the app, you can create, upload and share documents with both editing and viewing permissions. There are two collaborative editing models, as well as features for monitoring changes to documents and the possibility of making comments — something important when writing co-authored texts.

DocSpace also has artificial intelligence — as well as the Mac version —, which help you summarize, generate and translate texts. There are also functions to discuss and fill out forms, agreements, contracts and other complex documents, as well as to navigate and add comments to PDF annotations. You can also store documents in a collaboration room, making it possible to access them from anywhere and at any time.

With a DocSpace account — which is created following the first update of the app, associating your Zoom account data with it — you can manage files efficiently between meetings. This includes features like organizing personal files, creating collaboration rooms, or customizing work documents.

You can also offer flexible editing access to documents, in addition to using public rooms to allow access to documents for people outside your work environment. It is not possible, however, to synchronize the Zoom app with the Mac app.

Both the app and account creation are free. Who to register until August 1st You can take advantage of a special offer, which includes the possibility of adding 100 administrators, in addition to using up to 100 rooms and 100GB of storage for up to 6 months. The plan is also available DocSpace Businesswhich only charges for the number of administrators/users with the most powers.

To use DocSpace for Zoom, simply log into your Zoom account, install the tool and grant permissions depending on what is requested. While in a meeting, simply switch to the apps tab, open DocSpace and choose the desired document from the list to start a collaboration session.

It is possible to choose, as previously mentioned, whether other participants can edit or just view the documents. At the end, the changes made are saved in an automatically created room.

DocSpace for Zoom can be downloaded from the Zoom App Marketplace and works with the calling app’s desktop client.
