Following Carlos Sainz’s transfer, online searches for ‘Williams products’ increased by more than 180%.

Last week, Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz announced that he would move to Williams ahead of the 2025 F1 season.

Following the announcement, research from CS betting site Clash.gg found that online searches for “Williams products” increased 187%, reaching a 12-month high on August 3.

It’s clear from the increase in searches that the driver’s involvement has led to a sudden interest among British racing teams, resulting in product sales around the world.

The team’s Instagram account has gained 109,422 new followers since Carlos’ transfer to Williams was announced.

Gabriele Asaro, Head of SEO and Research at Clash.gg, commented:

“Carlos Sainz was a very popular driver in F1 and his departure from Ferrari came as a surprise to fans around the world.

“Carlos’ move to Williams will come as a relief to some fans after losing his seat to Lewis Hamilton, although many are disappointed with the driver’s new contract for the 2025 season.

“However, the sudden increase in searches proves that the driver has a huge fan base, which is very beneficial for Williams in the 2025 season.

“Those loyal fans who follow Carlos over the next 12 months will boost Williams’ morale and sales chances.”
