OnePlus Open: the brand’s first foldable gets a date to be announced

The Chinese brand’s first foldable, the OnePlus Open received a launch date this Thursday (12). The cell phone will be presented at an event scheduled for October 19th, in Mumbai, India.

According to the portal The Verge, the company sent an image with an official teaser, which confirms the date and time, as well as giving an idea of ​​some aspects of the product. We’re talking a slim design and a three-stage slider. See the image below:

The date information fits with what was revealed by an informant, at the end of last September. However, at the time, OnePlus only mentioned that the flexible smartphone would arrive “soon”.

The OnePlus Open should feature two OLED screens: a 7.8-inch internal one from BOE; and another external measuring 6.31 inches. Furthermore, the model is expected to come with 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, with the possibility of other internal space options at launch.

It is worth noting that, on the same day, OPPO – a brand also belonging to BBK Electronics – will also make its new foldable, the Find N3with a look similar to that of its “sister” OnePlus and on a global level.

The Open does not yet have a suggested suggested price, but the expectation is that it will be available for around US$1,700 or more.
