OnePlus getting ready to launch the OnePlus 11

OnePlus has had a busy year with back-to-back smartphone launches lately. The brand kicked off the year with the flagship OnePlus 10 Pro and later unveiled OnePlus 10R, OnePlus 10T and other Nord-branded offerings.

The OnePlus 10 Pro isn’t just one of the best smartphones of 2022, it was also one of the first, launching in China in January, even before phones like the Samsung Galaxy S22 were announced. Now, there’s a chance OnePlus is interested in starting Series 11 even earlier, and a new rumor suggests it might be planning to launch a phone with a new chip before the end of the year.

OnePlus could be gearing up to launch a new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 flagship phone, possibly the OnePlus 11 Pro, before the end of the year. Apparently, the company plans to release a new phone running on the SM8550 chip. This phone will apparently be all about “texture and performance”.

SM8550 is the model name of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC which is expected to be announced by Qualcomm at its Tech Summit later this year. The chip is expected to power a slew of flagship Android smartphones next year, including devices from OnePlus, Samsung, Xiaomi, Motorola and other leading groups.
