Popular tech YouTuber Zack Nelson is always up for a challenge; this time he’s testing the OnePlus 11. His YouTube channel, “JerryRigEverything,” has a lot to offer. Most of us look for durability tests before buying a smartphone. OnePlus’ flagship smartphones are not living up to their fans’ expectations. This time the OnePlus 11 is on the radar.
It should be mentioned that the OnePlus 10 Pro and 10T models were on the market last year. Likewise, Zack got his hands on these smartphones last year for a durability test. Unfortunately, the results did not live up to expectations. The durability test video is available on his channel; you can watch it there. The 10 series has a structural problem due to the new camera design. In short, this camera design is expensive for the Chinese smartphone maker.

Mobile news (subtitled) from our partner of the week
Jerry tests the smartphone with the usual burn, scratch and bend tests. The device performs quite well in all tests except the bend test. The smartphone was flexible at a certain point where the back panel started to crack. Still, the durability test is shocking because the previous version mightn’t withstand durability testing for much longer.
There were some important things to note in the OnePlus 11 durability test. First, scratches on the front panel do not affect touch functionality. But, they slightly affected the fingerprint reader under the screen. Second, the back of the phone has many cracks and scratches.
With all that, the OnePlus 11 survives the toughest durability tests but can’t live up to our expectations. At least there’s good news for the Chinese smartphone maker as it sees a way to make sustainable smartphones in the future.
