design and accessories
In the field of design, the OnePlus 11 5G has important refinements and it manages to stand out from other flagships by adopting a different look.
However, if you don’t like bouncing cameras, I warn you that the OnePlus 11 5G’s sensor block protrudes slightly outside the device’s body.
The edges of the display are curved, as well as those on the rear panel. This leaves only a thinner metal side, which also houses the power, volume and traditional slider that activates silent mode.
For the more nostalgic, the slider has always been a trademark of OnePlus on Android and it’s good to see it here. The total weight of OnePlus 11 5G is around 205 grams and its size makes it not easy to use for people who have small hands.
Finally, the OnePlus 11 5G brings in the box the manuals, SIM drawer key, USB cable, a film that comes pre-applied, a company sticker and the 100W fast charger.
screen and hardware
The OnePlus 11 5G has a 6.7-inch AMOLED LTPO 3.0 display, which supports 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and has Quad HD resolution.
In addition, you also find on this panel an integrated digital reader and a small front hole to accommodate the selfie lens. Overall, the OnePlus 11 5G’s fingerprint sensor is fast and efficient.
It can easily recognize the user’s fingerprints. On the other hand, who wants to have something more practical and less secure, the smartphone also delivers 2D facial recognition.
Another important highlight of this smartphone is the very customizable Always On Display mode, and the user can enter a series of information in this feature.
The maximum brightness in very bright environments can reach 1300 nits and the panel is also Dolby Vision certified.
Now, when it comes to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, here it is paired with 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of UFS 4.0 storage. As expected, the OnePlus 11 5G delivers great raw gaming performance. It will run everything you can find on the Play Store and will deliver an excellent experience in any daily task.
The biggest highlight of this generation is that OnePlus has done a great job in cooling the device. You can use your phone for hours and you won’t see a significant increase in temperature.
On the OnePlus 11 5G we have two 2,500 mAh batteries, totaling 5,000 mAh. Translating the numbers to active display time, you’ll find somewhere between 5.5 and 6 hours. That is, we have here a smartphone that will last a whole day away from the socket.
Of course we are talking regarding a standard user, who uses social networks, responds to messages, plays a casual game, takes a picture here and there, nothing too demanding.
Anyway, if you run out of battery, the 100W fast charging is a “hand on the wheel”. In 15 minutes you have 75% battery and 25 minutes is enough for it to reach 100%.
To complete the set, the device has Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC for proximity payments and stereo sound with Dolby Atmos certification.

Software
The OnePlus 11 5G hits the market with Android 13 running under the Oxygen OS 13 interface. OnePlus listened to public feedback and decided to keep its traditional interface, which is almost stock Android with a few added features.
Additionally, the company is now promising four major Android updates and another five years of security updates. That is, the OnePlus 11 5G should match Samsung’s cell phones by reaching Android 17 and having its support taken until 2028.
Cmeras
The OnePlus 11’s main camera has a 50-megapixel sensor. It is accompanied by an ultrawide 48-megapixel sensor and another telephoto lens with a 32-megapixel sensor, which delivers twice the optical zoom.
In practice, we have excellent results here. Be it in color management, be it in the good capture of details. By default, the main camera takes pictures at 12 megapixels, but you can easily activate the 50 megapixels.
With the OnePlus 11 5G it is also possible to capture photos in RAW format, but this can only be used on the main sensor.
In general terms, the photos during the day are good and at night the sensor manages to capture a lot of details and does not suffer from chromatic aberrations, something that can happen with some cell phones.
Exposure management is also another positive highlight, since the night photos here are as expected. Very different from the iPhone 14, which tends to overexpose.
In addition, the photos with the other sensors also manage to get very close to what we have in the main camera and this is the result of good processing done by the software.
The only problem on this device is in portrait mode, which suffers to make the cuts, missing several points that should be out of focus.
In video recording, the OnePlus 11 5G did super well thanks to five-axis optical stabilization. Finally, the photos with the selfie camera are good, even in dark environments.
First impressions and price
The OnePlus 11 has only “two negatives”. The first is the lack of IP68 certification to guarantee full protection once morest water. Since it has IP54, it wouldn’t cost much for OnePlus to raise that to IP68.
The second is the lack of wireless charging. Many older cell phones from the brand had this feature and here it was left out.
In addition, the OnePlus 11 5G is indeed a great top-of-the-line smartphone. It has everything a user needs in a premium device: latest generation processor, competent cameras, good heat management and also energy expenditure.
Plus, everything gets even better with 100W fast charging as well as now expanded software support. That is, the OnePlus 11 5G does not have any defects.
And even the price is highly competitive and must make a lot of people “itch” to import one. Announced abroad last week, the OnePlus 11 5G costs around R$ 3,670 in direct conversion and in its simplest variant.
That is, with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The model tested in this hands-on with 16 GB of RAM costs the equivalent of R$ 4,200.
As I said, they are competitively priced and will certainly win over those on a tighter budget who can’t give up a good flagship. And so we can say yes. OnePlus has gone back to basics and that is something highly positive.
