One Year Later: The Lasting Legacy and Tragic Loss of Actor Marwan Berreni

The unbearable wait, followed by the end of hope. One year ago, on August 4, 2023, the police were actively searching for actor Marwan Berreni, suspecting the young man of having knocked down a woman and her dog with his vehicle the day before, in Saône-et-Loire. For months, his loved ones, without news, hoped to find the actor alive. On October 12, the lifeless body of the young man, known for playing the character Abdel Fedala in the series Plus belle la vie, was found hanging in an abandoned building in Rhône. He was 34 years old. One year after his disappearance, his house, located in Beaujolais and put up for sale in February by his parents, has not yet been bought, highlights PurePeople in a recent post.

This house, consisting of eight rooms, well-maintained and modern, Marwan Berreni had purchased for the sum of 400,400 euros, and his parents wanted to sell it for the same price. With an area of 202 square meters, it is located in the village of Fuissé, where 300 souls reside. Six months after the announcement was posted on the agency’s website and on real estate listing sites, potential buyers continue to remain discreet. In the spring, the actor’s parents lowered the price to 374,400 euros, our colleagues remind us. On Le Bon Coin, the listed amount is now 350,000 euros.

Marwan Berreni: tribute from his ex-partner, Coline D’Inca

The actors who worked alongside Marwan Berreni have not forgotten him. At the end of July, Dounia Coesens, who also starred in Plus belle la vie, paid a beautiful tribute to him on Instagram. More recently, on Saturday, August 3, it was his ex-partner Coline D’Inca who published an extremely touching post on the same social media platform. “How can seconds feel so long and months pass so quickly? Days so dark and nights so white? I no longer know anything. Neither who I am nor where I’m going, nor why or how. I am relearning. A year. To die and be reborn at the same time, to live only in the moment”, she wrote in a long message that accompanied a snapshot with a butterfly. An insect that, as Femme Actuelle notes, which spotted the post, can symbolize immortality or a guardian angel…
